Synopsis
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged Muslims to eat together rather than separately. As reported by Salim bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar who heard from his father who heard from 'Umar bin Khattab, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Eat together and do not eat separately, for the blessing is in being together.”
